Making a Difference
There are many issues in the world today. Some of them are
because of bullying, pollution, racism, discrimination, poverty and a lot more.
In my opinion, I think one of the biggest problems is pollution. Pollution is an
important issue to consider because we only have one Earth, and with the
pollution rate increasing animals, plants are dying, additionally, our O-zone
layer is getting thinner and thinner every day.
Pollution is a major cause of global warming. The pollution
thins out the ozone layer causing global warming. This has impacted life on our
planet. Our beautiful animals, plant life, forests and rain forests are becoming
smaller and smaller and soon there will be nothing left. Animals, if there’s any
left, will be without homes, causing to become extinct. Without trees or plants
we could not be able to breathe because trees and plants give off
oxygen.
Our economy and cities are becoming bigger and bigger, but at
the same time our beautiful nature is shrinking. Just imagine, your kids growing
up in a world filled with factories, harmful cars damaging our air making it so
much harder to breathe, and the only scenery is buildings and factories. Do you
want your children living like this? To have a life full of factories and our
earth dying? Many people, including me, wouldn’t like their kids growing up in a
polluted environment like that.
Our world doesn’t have to be like this! It doesn’t matter we all
share this one planet so your age, religion, skin color, or size, we need to
work together to keep it clean and make a difference.

Global Citizen
5 Tips to change my community are;
- Picking up Garbage/trash - Recycling - Use less paper by using both sides of your exersize book - Car pool - Hang your clothes out on the line instead of using the dryer |
Bono (Paul David Hewson)
Bono relates to being a global citizen because of all things he has done to help his community! The things he did made him a global citizen because he blackmailed the leaders of the world's richest countries into forgiving $40 billion in debt owed by the poorest.
Sudan- Darfur
In 2003 a upspring of violence was set against the Arab-dominated Sudanese
government, with two other rebel groups. They were known as the Justice (JEM)
and the Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA). The two groups accused the Arab -
dominated Sudanese government of oppressing non-Arabs in favor of Arabs and
neglecting the Darfur region of Sudan. Due to the fighting between the two
groups it lead to major killing, looting, and planned rape
attacks against Darfur people. And they also burnt down a whole village.
Kids the ages 10 and up if they got caught by the army/people the girls would
be raped and killed and the boys would be treated as their slaves. Ways we
can get involved to help Darfur and its people is to raise money and have
food banks to send to families in need, we could also write a letter to the
embassy over in Sudan and debate whether they're involved in helping
families in Darfur and if not, kindly request they help the families and the
government settle their arguments in Darfur.

In the game you choose a character, the characters could be ages 10-30 years
old, and could be a boy or girl. Then you have to leave the camp to get water, along the way you got to try to not get caught by the Sudanese Liberation Army. When you get caught by the army it tells you what would happen to them. |
The video is about a family. They tell you about their lifes after getting
attacked by the Sudanese Liberation Army. |
The video shows you what the army looks like. In the game Darfur is dying this
is what the truck that is chasing the person looks like. |
